I treat each patient with respect and compassion. It is important that my patients feel like they are heard. You are not just another number in the waiting room when you come to see me. You can expect to have interactive visits that include discussions about your health concerns and all the possible treatments available to you.
What makes me different from other medical doctors is that I am 100% transparent about all your options, and will always include you in every decision regarding your care. To me, that is how medicine should always be practiced.
As a child, I would read my mothers nursing books for fun because I was always curious about disease and how to treat it. As I got older, I decided that I wanted to become a doctor. While I worked in the pharmaceutical industry, I saw so many patients that were grossly mismanaged or even wrongly diagnosed. Even I experienced poor care from my health providers. After witnessing this neglect, I changed my career path to become a naturopathic medical doctor. I wanted to have a stronger, more meaningful impact in my patient's care.
I relocated to Arizona from Tennessee for medical school, where I was treated by a naturopathic doctor who listened and cared about finding the root cause of my symptoms. I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Having this diagnosis changed my entire life, and it took a diligent doctor to listen and have the motivation to find the root cause of my symptoms. This further solidified my decision to become a naturopathic physician.
While in school, I was taught not only how to accurately diagnose and treat patients but also create long-lasting relationships with them. It is my passion to make people feel better and live life to to their best potential.
